Our Carers

We are very proud of our carers, and I have personally worked alongside the majority of them for many years. I have always found them to be caring and loyal people. Our carers are specifically trained to promote independence and respect privacy, dignity and choice at all times.

All of our carers:

Have undergone an in depth interview
Have a regular CRB check
Have two references taken
Receive ongoing training which is regularly updated to reflect the latest legislation

Live in Carers

Our live in carers all have previous experience in the care industry and most are overqualified for their roles. Many live in carers come from specialist hospital wards, homes for those with sever challenging behaviour and from nursing backgrounds. Live in carers are self employed and so are responsible for their own tax and insurance. They also have their own public liability insurance. This enables us to keep our prices at a low and competitive rate. We believe strongly in the importance of a diverse workforce with carers from a wide variety of backgrounds and ranging in age from 20's to 70's.

Domiciliary Carers

Our domiciliary team have been chosen for their friendly, professional, caring and positive approach to life. They receive a large amount of relevant training at the start of their employment with Castle Care Wessex Ltd in line with Skills for Care's Common induction Standards. They have regular supervisions and attend appraisals where their work is reviewed. They all 'shadow' an experienced carer before working alone.
