Rebecca's Profile

Rebecca Jones started her care career in 2005, working as a front line care worker. Having fallen into a care career almost accidentally Rebecca quickly developed a passion for her job and began to further her career which commenced with the completion of her NVQ 2 in Health and social care.

Working for a variety of care companies Rebecca finally joined Castle Care Wessex and her mother Kim in April 2008. Working as a manager for the first time Rebecca's career reached a turning point as she saw the completion of her first 'train the trainer' qualification at the end of the same month. She then began her work as a carer's trainer, working to support the C.P.D of Castle Care Wessex staff. Later Rebecca solidified her role as an adult trainer by completing her P.T.T.L.S qualification after a year of studying at Trowbridge College. From here the training could now be offered to fellow care companies.

Rebecca's training portfolio soon flourished as she added such topics as Medication and Protection of Vulnerable Adults to her repertoire. Now holder of an NVQ 3 Rebecca supports a variety of companies in the training of their staff. Rebecca is a member of The Institute for learning and continues to develop her skills.

Alan's Profile

Alan Jones, farther of Rebecca and Husband to Kim is our second in house trainer. Working alongside his full time job Alan's main area of expertise is health and safety. Alan jumped at the chance to further his education when the opportunity to undertake a managing safely for managers course came along through his full time employment.

From there he studied at Swindon new College for three years completing access certificates in Health Safety and environmental studies and employment law. It was through this route that Alan became a member of I.O.S.H at technician level.

Later he attended Birkbeck University of London as a continuation of qualifications already gained and working towards a BA Degree.

Most recently Alan completed a P.T.T.L.S qualification enabling him to pass on his extensive knowledge. Today he supports Castle Care's training department by delivering a variety of health and safety based courses.

From small residential homes to large live in care agencies the Castle Care trainers have found that the repeat business they receive from fellow companies speaks volumes about the quality of content which they continually strive to provide.
We have been working with Castle Care Wessex for over one year now. Thank you Becky for providing training sessions for our staff. They have all come back saying that they have found them to be interesting and fun and felt they have learned a lot.

"They are informative and you learn extra snippets that you wouldn't normally think about."

"Becky is enthusiastic, which helps and she enjoys what she is saying."

Thank you too for the ease in which we can communicate and arrange the sessions. Good luck in future endeavours and I hope we continue our association.
